iPhone Alarm is Crap
For years, I’ve been relying on my mobile phone to double as an alarm. I’ve had many handsets, and with each one I’ve either had to a) Set more than one alarm because there was no built-in snooze function or b) It would work like a normal alarm, with a snooze button (usually the volume button).
The iPhone has a strange implementation of the alarm. It will pop up a snooze button when your alarm goes off, but after about 5 minutes it will stop and the snooze button remain, waiting for you to push it. Until you do, the alarm will not go off again. Am I the only who thinks this is strange? Shouldn’t it just keep going off until you press the snooze button, then wait 10 minutes, and go off again?
I can attribute being late to work on several occasions because of this weird implementation, like today. To solve this problem in the past, I’ve had 4 alarms set to go off on week days. But, I thought over the weekend I would try to go back to one alarm. Bad idea. Going back to the 4 alarms.
